Lesson 1: The Lord is everywhere
Introduction: Discuss playing hide n seek. We cannot hide from the Lord.
Scripture: Have each student take a bible and find the verse Proverbs 15:3. Have a volunteer read the scripture, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good”. Discuss that the Lord sees everything that goes on in the world. He knows everything that we say and do. He even knows all our thoughts.
Activity:
White Construction Paper
Black Construction Paper
Scissors
Glue
Markers
Give each student a sheet of white paper. Fold into half. Cut out a circle for an eye leaving attached in the middle when paper is unfolded.
Cut out smaller circles for center of eyes out of the black paper.
Glue black circles onto the white cut out eyes.
On the back of the eyes write the scripture: Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”
Song: Sing “Watching You”
Memory Verse: Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”
Quote with students several times. Ask the students to quote it to their parents during the week and ask them to quote it during the next class meeting.

Discuss the cruel death of Jesus on the cross, then ask the children, “Why did Jesus have to die this horrible death on the cross?” Hand out worksheet, “Jesus Died for Me”. Read the text boxes in order from top to bottom. Have each child look up a verse, read it to the class, and tell which text box to match it with. Continue to all verses are complete.
